Amazing weekend!

What more can I say? The title explains it all. We started off slow in Friday night due to some traffic issues but right at 9pm or so the house blew up. We started the night off with some XBOX 360 Guitar hero 3 and immediately went into some red light specials for CS 1.6. For those who don’t know what a red light is let me explain. A red light special is a sort of specialty tournament that throws a mix of players, usually 24 or so, into a server at one time and they have a set frag limit they have to meet in order to win the tournament. There’s loud music that and flashing red lights that goes along with this and all mayhem usually breaks loose. The best part about these are the fact that know one knows that they are about to happen. The music cuts on we make the announcement and the server fills up. After this we saw a mix of UT3 and UT2k4 servers along with some old school quake 3 action. On Saturday we saw the start of the CS 1.6, CS:S, UT3 and Halo3 tournament. There was so much action going on in the building at one time you would have thought we were sitting in the middle of a war zone. At around 6pm or so we stopped the action to allow the gamers to take a break and enjoy some free play while the Hak.5 Crew set up to do their live broadcast. Just as Hak.5 show was finishing up another 2 red light specials broke out for both CS 1.6 and CS:S and then we jumped back into the tournaments after the tournaments rapped up we had an entire night of free-play witch saw some on the side poker, XBOX 360 Rockband and Guitar Hero 3 some Battlefield 2 action followed up by some UT3 and some more UT2k4 and even more Quake 3!
On Sunday we started to finish up the finals for CS:S and 1.6 and UT3 with prize hand outs and pictures.

All in all I would say it was an outstanding LAN. We had no major power issues and very few server issues.

Looking forward we have a lot lined up for the 08 LAN season. We are going to be delving into some online tournaments and we are going to see the rebirth of Fragstock!

I’m working on getting pictures up today. I will probably have them up for download in a zip format before I have them for preview. As always if you guys have any questions feel free to email me at anytime.

So as people slowly filter into the hall most are focused towards the front of the hall at the xbox staged next to the projector and the amplifier, where the 1 vs 1 has started 2 guitars, 10 players one song who comes out on top?
